The 2010 Taichung Jazz Festival will kick off in August with its popular "Jazz Workshop" series. Various famous local and foreign YAMAHA trumpet musicians will be attending these workshops with Michael Philip Mossman as an instructor. This year there will also be a special competition with a judging panel of local jazz experts, who will select 30 musicians from among competitors to attend a six-day intensive training program and perform together as a jazz band in September and October. All high school students (including seniors) confident in their musical performing abilities are welcome to participate. Registration is taking place until July 31.
