   Kou-Shan Lai devoted all his life to training students of lacquerware art and to promoting traditional lacquerware. In 1998 and 1999, he accepted an invitation from Provisional Office of National Center for Traditional Art to open two one-year programs to pass on his techniques in creating lacquerware works. In addition, he held many domestic and international personal exhibition. He also founded Central Taiwan Art Association, and East-South Art Association.
