   In 1942 Jhao-Ci Lin chaired Department of Geology, National Beijing Normal University in China. In 1946, he became Dean of Provincial Taichung Teacher College, and then a professor of Department of Geology, National Taiwan University. In 1957, he published Topology of Taiwan. In 1968, he discovered a historical site of pre-historical Stone Era at the opening of Danshuei River in Bali of Taipei County, which was the famous Thirteen-Row cultural, archaeological site. 1968, he also discovered a historical site of Ancient Stone Era at Eight-Saint Cave. In 1969, he published a technical report on Long-Gong-Wong-Rong Snail. In 1973, he edited the Earth Science Dictionary. He was also the first geologist in Taiwan.
