【Description】
Confucius Temple and Martyrs Shrine are located side by side. Its square-shaped design and painting look after the palaces in Song Dynasty. The while fence, yellow roof and use of different tones of color fill the temple with ancient atmosphere. It was built in 1976. At the entrance near Shuangshih Rd., two gates are located there. The main building-Dacheng Hall-accommodates Confucius and his famous seventy-two students. Dacheng Hall opens only when significant events occur. One tree standing by Dacheng Hall was grown from a seed of a tree on Confucius tomb planted by his student Zih-Gong.
